How do I reattach the driver side trunk light ...

How do I reattach the driver side trunk light component? I noticed that I was hanging off inside the trunk of my 2005 325xi.

I tried to reattach it.

Yes, it's similar, but there a small tunring screw to the right of the actual light. The problem is that the whole black component fell out of its place; not the light itself.

Was looking thru BMW & found nothing of the Light Base removal or installation.
It appears the Black part is mounted from the rear & the Lens snaps on from the front.
Removal or hand access to the back of the panel would be needed, but there is no proceedure listed.
If you would like, I can Relist to see if another Expert has a proceedure

Thanks for your help so far. Just to clarify, I can access the black base easily, I'm wondering if there's something that snaps in place, or if I should screw somthing in to reattach it.
When I hold it back up to where it's supposed to be, it fits fine. It just won't stay attached.

What BMW shows is the Lens Snaps in & there does not appear to be any screws holding the base. I am going by their picture. It looks like the base snaps in

By lens are you referring to the actual trunk light? Does that also mean that the base itself snaps into place?
